The Banners will be hung throughout the streets of Downtown Simcoe this Summer - We hope that you come on down to see them for yourself!
This year, we decided to post pictures of the banners on our FACEBOOK PAGE. To view them, please add the Downtown Simcoe BIA as a friend on facebook!
The Downtown Simcoe Drive-Thru Art Gallery has become a much anticipated event in our core, beautifying our streetscape, each summer season, as well as raising awareness of the remarkable level of artistic talent within our community and displayed pride of what makes Norfolk County unique.
The gallery is presented, each year, offering the banner kits to area residents FREE OF CHARGE solely through sponsorship by the Businesses of Downtown Simcoe & is administered through the office of the Downtown Simcoe Business Improvement Area (BIA) 50 Peel Street, Simcoe, ON
Next years theme (April 2011) will be: People in Harmony with their Environment - Collaborating with the Long Point Bioshpere Reserve!

Parking Commissionaire - Downtown Simcoe |
NEWS: Ashley DeGroote, CD98.9FM ~ So far, so good for the parking commissionaire in Downtown Simcoe. Just two weeks after the program officially started, vice chair of the downtown Simcoe BIA, Peter Black says he thinks locals feel safer having someone of authority patrolling the streets. Black says while parking enforcement is one part of the job; the commissionaire is also an ambassador and deals with issues from a customer relation point of view. Black says it will take some time before people become educated and know they'll get a ticket, but feels with regular and consistent enforcement the downtown shopping area will function the way it was intended.
